How far is too far with 3D Pritning

Matthew 0 Comments

Over the past few years 3D printing has come a long way, and when used for good, amazing things result. However used in the wrong hands, chaos can emerge.

What am I talking about? I am talking about this post I found on Gizmodo today, “The First 3D Printed Rifle Now Fires Multiple Rounds—Without Breaking”, and another related article I found (here) “100,000 People Already Downloaded 3D-Printed Gun Plans. So What?”.

To be honest I am not really surprised that someone came up with the idea to print a gun. What I am more worried about is who has access to the plans.…

Compared to OC-Transpo, I prefer STM. However its not without its blunders…

The Société de Transports de Montréal (STM) has been a great refreshment compared to OC Transpo back in Ottawa, the buses here just seem to flow better. And without the stretch buses, there are less jackknives in the winter, but as with any vehicle, the buses still get stuck in the snow (as I found out last snow fall, had to walk 45 minutes from Lachine to Dorval).

The only thing I cannot compare to OC Transpo is the Montreal Metro System. Now some could argue I could compare the Metro to the O-Train, which is similar but quite different.…

Maybe not a New Phone… yet

Matthew 0 Comments

Ok, so I figured I would rant a little today. You see, for teh past month or so I have been so excited to get myself a new Credit Card, things have been on the Up and Up and I figured I could use one to try and get my credit score rating back up a tad (seeing as I have had majorly bad credit for the past 7 years). Now I have had a lot planned for this new CC, number 1 being a brand new Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Now I have been without a phone for over a month now and the withdrawal symptoms are kicking in, especially since I am so close to getting one.…

Farewell to the Flame (The theft of the Torch)

Well this weekend has been a hell of a downer for me. On Friday I opened the store at 8:30 so my boss/good friend could sleep in, having going out the night before for one of his friends birthdays. He called me that morning on my cell to ask me if opening went okay, and as I was up front putting out the papers, everything was fine. After the call I put down the phone on the desk nearest the door and finished putting out the papers.

Around mid day I wondered where my phone was (while at work I rarely have it on me, its either at my desk charging, or somewhere within reach).…

The Stylish Music of Go Long (!)

I just realized after reading Go Long (!)’s press Release that my blog is listed in the “Press” section. Sadly, the post I created entitled “Go Long (!) an Awesome Local Band” which was posted in November of 2011 no longer exists. So I am gonna write another article on them for the simple fact that they are an Awesome local band (To Ottawa) and their music is becoming more and more popular.

If you have no idea who Go Long (!) is, I suggest you check out their site: GoLong.info.

I have known the lead singer Danielle for about 5 years now and fell in love with her voice.…

Linking to Facebook

I have spent the last few hours trying to figure out how to get my personal blog to post to my timeline. Has not been an easy task, and WHY? Because the offical documentation asks for your apps NAMESPACE (cn-blog) When it should have been asking for its actual NAME – (CN Blog)… after an hour, I figured this out… but now there seems to be a catch 22, In order to get my posts to be automatically published to my wall, I need to submit my “Open Graph” action, but in order to submit the action, you have to have created the post (according to the documentation, and the errors I am getting)… So I have created this post for the specific function of testing if this post will show up on my wall, or not.…
