Why you need to check your emails carefully! (Part 2)

Earlier today I posted an article entitled Why you need to check your emails carefully!, where I went into detail about a spam email I received which was made to look like it came from Apple. Well no more than 5 minutes after my post, I received another one, this time from Canada Post.

Unlike the one from Apple, the Canada Post email didn’t ask me to verify an account, this one was a Missed Delivery Notice. Again, under un-knowledgeable eyes this looks legit, and almost everyone one in Canada has received a package from Canada Post, which makes it just a bit easier to get scammed than the Apple.com…

Hola! Watch Netflix USA from anywhere in the world! FREE!

After being a Netflix subscriber for a month and a bit now, I am very disappointed at how limited our selection is here in Canada, half the good movies are unavailable.

I have heard of other people using proxies and VPNs to fool the servers into thinking you have a States-Side IP address, but these in my experience can be limited. The ones I have found are either really slow, have low bandwidth, or cost quite a bit to have speed and bandwidth.

During my most recent search I happened across a site called Hola (Spanish for Hello?) which adds a plugin to Chrome or Firefox or you can directly install their app on Windows, Mac OS, and Android (sorry Blackberry Users, your left out, again).…

Go Long (!) CD Release.

I have the extreme pleasure of writing this blog post directly from the CD Release Party for Go Long (!).  Its been an amazing journey for the band to come this far in so short of time. In one interview they stated they were not really planning on doing a release just yet, but the demand from their fans drove them to do think twice about waiting.

I personally have been following Dani’s career for quite a few years now and I feel extremely honored to have the privilege watching these up and coming musicians come so far.

They opened with the tune of their recent video release “Hurricane” followed by “Overwhelmed” then into there rendition of Alana Miles’ “Black Velvet”.…

Canada Day Post

Okay, well actually its June 30th, but as I am moving tomorrow I figured I would make my post today. I’ve been on the “Island” for 6 months now and am finally moving from a room in a house to an apartment 5 minutes from work. This is awesome news for me. The place where I am moving out off has been an interesting stay. For one the house seems to be located in its own little jungle, there are so many trees, bushes and plants in the front yard that you cannot even see the house from the side walk.…
